PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Hello
Our BBQ at Woronora was an outstanding success. A special mention must go to our great chefs—Errol, Kevin and Ken who again did an excellent job. There are many other volunteers who work hard to make this day enjoyable and I wouldn’t dare try to list them as I may omit someone, but congratulations to you all. Tonia, there was no need to stress, it all came together on the day. There was a lovely feeling of camaraderie and we all left feeling we had spent some worthwhile time together.
I had the pleasure of inducting Di Hogan as a new member to our club. We hope you will enjoy your time with us.
Keith and Joan Thompson’s daughter, Allison, is back home for a short time and this week will be receiving a medal at Government House for her work with the refugees following the tsunami and Haiti.
Till next month, Janene

In Lurline’s absence, Jan Barber reported that Doris Ogilvie has had a fall and has injured her shoulder. Fay Burgess has entered a Nursing Home and is receiving treatment. Beryl Donald is recovering from her operation.

GUEST SPEAKER
Ted Bramble is a natural and gifted speaker which must be an asset in his professional life as a barrister. Ted described a true-life criminal case where the culprits displayed an ineptitude for planning which had the room in fits of laughter.
We reserve a parking place at the club entrance for the Guest Speaker. This month somebody ignored the sign and parked there. I must ask that members show some respect for speakers who give freely of their time and may also have difficulties with equipment and personal mobility
